This appears to have been done to allow the story to open up more and not be as linear in it's timeline of events. My three major gripes though are as follows.ġ) the protagonist is, unlike recent games, silent. There are additional features, such as guns for hire, to accompany you on missions and a new crafting system, among others. It looks great and plays pretty much the same as it's recent predecessors. In many ways that is what we get here, but in a few crucial ways it is let down to the point that many fans will be put off sooner rather than later. Having started the series at FarCry 3, which was excellent, and playing 4, which was also great, albeit not as good as 3, I picked up FarCry 5 expecting more of the same.
